A general format for the Sign-Up/OOC threads looks like the following -

The following is a general template for character sheets, which are used to provide an outline with necessary information about a character in a role-play -

Gender:
Bio: (Generally a backstory for your character)
Personality:
Abilities:
Appearance: (Generally, a well-written description will work; if you want to imbed an image for your character's appearance, a link will be necessary, as will the proper credits)

Certain role-plays and role-play genres will add to this basic list of character information; for example, a military role-play will likely add a "Rank" section, and then go into detail about which country/which branch of military the ranking system follows. Some fantasy role-plays will add an "Element" tab, depending on the storyline, and the number of available "Elements" may be limited, depending on what the thread creator wants to do.
As these are just basic guidelines for creating a role-play or character, the thread creators have every right to add more to the templates. However, the aforementioned templates MUST contain the information listed here (aside from the "Abilities" section of the character sheet; that generally depends on the genre of role-play, and certain genres don't use it).
